Privacy Policy.

This version takes effect when published on the relaunched website.

The Authentic Gay is a publication operated by Public Accessory, LLC, based in Florida, USA. In this policy, “TAG,” “we” and “us” refer to the publication and its operator. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit our website or contact us.

Visiting TAG

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes information needed to deliver and protect the site, including your IP address, requested page, browser information and request timing. Some articles load images from other websites. Those image providers receive the network information needed to send the image to your browser.

Contacting us

When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, message and any optional topic or article link you provide. We use that information to handle your inquiry and reply. Sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks requests for spam and automated abuse using technical signals such as network and browser information. Resend delivers the message to our Google-hosted mailbox. These services process the information needed for their roles. Read Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy notice for its processing details.

We also use Upstash for temporary abuse-prevention counters and coded identifiers. Our rate-limit records do not contain your message, raw email address or raw IP address. This does not mean that the email-delivery service or our mailbox has no copy of your inquiry.

Please include only what we need to understand your request. Do not send passwords, payment details or private medical records through the form.

Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand visits to TAG. It can process information about pages viewed, browser and device characteristics, network information and cookie identifiers. The pages you read may describe personal interests, including health or sexuality.

We do not send contact-form contents to our analytics. Our TAG pageview configuration excludes URL search parameters, fragments and internal search terms. Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites and apps.

If you allow affiliate services, Skimlinks helps attribute purchases made through retailer links. Skimlinks and its affiliates may process identifiers, browser information, browsing activity and purchase information. Their purposes and choices are explained in the Skimlinks privacy policy and Taboola privacy policy.

Existing affiliate links still work if you reject the optional Skimlinks service on TAG. Following one takes you to a retailer or affiliate network, whose privacy practices apply there. The same applies when you follow a social-media or other external link.

Your choices

Analytics and affiliate services stay off until you allow them. You can accept, reject or choose each separately using Privacy choices in the footer. We remember your choice in this browser for up to 180 days. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep these optional services off.

Withdrawing a choice stops that optional service on TAG and reloads the page. It does not erase information previously received by a provider or undo activity on a retailer’s website. Your browser also lets you manage stored cookies and site data. See our Cookie Notice.

Keeping and sharing information

We retain contact messages as needed to respond to inquiries, maintain relevant business records, and meet legal or security obligations. Our application’s short-lived abuse-prevention records expire within 24 hours. That limit does not apply to email, analytics or provider security records, which have separate retention arrangements.

Information is handled by the services described above and the people responsible for operating TAG. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to investigate abuse or protect legal rights. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Privacy requests

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, receive a copy, or object to or restrict certain uses. You may also have the right to contact your local privacy regulator. Use our contact form for a privacy request. We may need enough information to verify that the request concerns your data; legal exceptions may limit what we can delete or provide.

Audience and updates

TAG is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, please contact us.

We will post updates to this policy here and change the effective date. Where additional notice is required, we will provide it.

Your privacy choices

Optional services stay off until you choose. Change your choice anytime using Privacy choices in the footer.

We store your choice in this browser for up to 180 days. Withdrawing a choice reloads the page to stop the service.
